Sarah Managan

Sarah Managan, a Bow Valley College graduate of both the Health and Human Services Management post-diploma and Hospital Unit Clerk certificate programs, sees her student experience as preparation for a future of service to others.

“The College provides a safe place for you to learn and equips you with all the support and tools you need to face the real world,” she says. “It inspired me to create that same experience of safety for others.”

In her current role with the Brenda Stafford Foundation, Sarah doesn’t view her work as merely a job, but rather an opportunity to make sure everyone is cared for, as she looks for ways to support the needs of her patients and colleagues.

She also gives back to the College community as a donor, having recently pledged a gift of $500 per year for three years, having received financial support during her time as a student and appreciating the impact it had on her learning.

“I’d like to be remembered as someone who gives back through service to others and for being a compassionate and understanding leader in my community.”
